Relax-All:
Powerful Combination for
Supporting
Health of People with Muscle Soreness, Inflammation and Pain
We are a nation
in pain. If you one of millions of Americans who are are experiencing pain
and/or waking up too much during the night, if you’re experiencing too much
stress, too much muscle soreness, if you’re overusing medications for your
health challenges and you want change, we have an important message.
Painkiller abuse is rampant in America. In the past
decade, the number of prescriptions written in the United States for narcotic
painkillers has risen an average of nearly 500 percent per drug, according to a
report in the November 17, 2003 issue of USA Today.
“On one hand, that’s good news for the millions of
Americans thought to suffer from inadequately treated pain,” observes the
newspaper. “But the dramatic rise in prescriptions also means that there are
more pills than ever available to people likely to abuse them, rather than use
them for medical purposes. Unfortunately, it’s nearly impossible to predict who
will end up abusing or even becoming addicted to narcotic painkillers. Radio
talk-show host Rush Limbaugh—back on the job Monday after a month in rehab—and
rock singer Courtney Love would appear to have little in common except their
celebrity and their recently reported problems with the prescription painkiller
OxyContin.”
You might not think you know anyone who is using or
overusing painkillers. But that’s probably because such addictions and overuse
syndromes frequently are not even recognized by the abuser and, if they do sense
their addiction, it is often kept secretive, either from embarrassment and/or
because of illegalities associated with procuring such drugs (e.g., doctor
shopping).
Nonetheless we are a nation in pain. Not all the time
and not all of us. But a lot of us are in pain some, most or all of the time.
These distressing facts tell the story:
§
One in four Americans experience significant pain. Be it
headaches, backaches, or cancer-associated pain, pain is second only to upper
respiratory infections (colds and flu) for reasons to visit a doctor.
§
Pain causes lost days at work—a greater number on an annual basis
than cancer and heart disease combined.
§
More than 25 million Americans suffer chronic, disabling, painful
low back pain and approximately 65 to 80 percent of the population will be
afflicted with low back pain at some point during their lives.[i],
[ii]
§
Some 20 million Americans have arthritis, most of which is
osteoarthritis, but about fifteen percent have inflammatory arthritis, including
rheumatoid, psoriatic, and ankylosing spondylitis.
§
More than one-third of Americans carry greater than twenty percent
excess weight, and hence suffer degenerative wear and tear on weight bearing
joints, particularly the knees. Morning stiffness, activity-based grinding, and
just chronic aching becomes their lot in life. The excess weight results in
degenerative joint disease.
§
Chronic fatigue is the third most common complaint for patients
seeing physicians. Pain drains and causes disruptive sleep particularly in
older Americans. With loss of healthful, restful sleep, hormonal dysregulation
occurs, and secondary depression.
§
Judging from the sales of over-the-counter non-steroidal
anti-inflammatory drugs (over eight billion dollars per year), we have a pill
consuming society bent on drugging pain.
§
People are increasingly reckless, population densities are
greater, and cars are faster. Hence, there are more car accidents. The
emergency response systems and Level I trauma units are patching up the injured
better than before. But even when the structural repair seems pretty good and
the orthopedic and neurosurgery doctors sign off, rehabilitation is often
limited. Result: more chronic pain. Our legal system isn’t helping. More
pain means more gain, financial gain, that is, especially when establishing
blame and damages often takes years.
§
The American diet is worsening, not improving. There is more high
fat, more additives, and more calories everywhere. Our diet is not protecting
us from, but rather inflicting further, pain.
§
Sport injuries are also taking their toll on Americans. Our
pursuits are becoming more daring, more reckless, and more injury-prone.
§
Cancer is increasing, now striking greater than one in three
Americans. The pain of chemotherapy, radiation or surgery is all together too
real.
What it All Means
Hopefully, these
facts will alert you and not scare you. Pain can be avoided if you’re lucky; it
can be mitigated and sometimes eliminated if you’re smart. If you are not so
lucky, there are potential ways to eliminate or at least manage pain to give you
back your life so that you no longer feel strangled by pain.
The problem here is too many people are using
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), narcotics, or muscle relaxants
that can become addictive, pose complications (especially gastrointestinal
bleeding), or simply impair your ability to function during waking hours.
In the case of
muscle soreness, inflammation, and pain—the combination of
Serra-Trol
with serrapeptase and
Relax-ALL is definitely worth considering for efficacy, quality, safety, and pricing.
Let’s look at how
Relax-All can help with muscle soreness and pain:
One of the major
ways this formula works is to accentuate the positive muscle-relaxing effects of
the inhibitory neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which, in turn,
influences the levels of two other neurotransmitters, dopamine and serotonin,
producing a relaxation effect.
Take phenibut
(originally known as phenigamma), one of the key ingredients in the
innovative
Relax-All formula. This derivative of GABA crosses the
blood-brain barrier much more ably than GABA itself.[iii]
Phenibut not only provides a sedative effect but also muscle relaxation similar
but milder and more safely than diazepam drugs.[iv]
Meantime, valerian is a medicinal herb that produces anxiolytic and
sedative effects also via GABA mechanisms. Finally, l-theanine has clinically
shown to create a sense of relaxation via at least two different mechanisms.
First, this amino acid directly stimulates the production of alpha brain waves,
creating a state of deep relaxation and mental alertness similar to what is
achieved through meditation. Second, it is involved in the formation of GABA.
Magnolia bark
with its phytochemicals magnolol and honokiol also offers powerful muscle
relaxant activity.[v]
According to the authoritative website supplementwatch.com, “Numerous animal
studies have demonstrated honokiol to act as a central-nervous-system depressant
at high doses, but as a non-sedating anxiolytic (anti-anxiety and anti-stress)
agent at lower doses. This means that a small dose of honokiol, or a magnolia
bark extract standardized for honokiol content, can help to ‘de-stress’ you
without making you sleepy, while a larger dose might have the effect of knocking
you out. When compared to pharmaceutical agents such as Valium (diazepam),
honokiol appears to be as effective in its anti-anxiety activity, yet not nearly
as powerful in its sedative ability. These results have been demonstrated in at
least half a dozen animal studies and suggest that magnolia-bark extracts
standardized for honokiol content would be an appropriate approach for
controlling the detrimental effects of everyday stressors without the
tranquilizing side effects of pharmaceutical agents.”
Jujube,
also known as zizyphus, a sweet and mild Chinese herb has mild sedative action.
It is a nervine tonic highly reputed for insomnia that is caused by nervous
exhaustion and anxiety, heart palpitations, restlessness, and excessive
sweating.
Magnesium
acts as a natural tranquilizer and can help reduce tremors and cramps. Yet, the
typical American diet provides only one-third to half of daily requirements
established for magnesium. Deficiencies result in nervousness,
irritability, muscle cramping, mental and physical fatigue.
Magnesium deficiency causes increased levels of adrenaline, which can lead to a
feeling of anxiety.
Calcium is
a natural tranquilizer that works with magnesium. A calcium deficiency produces
muscle spasms and cramps, anxiety, nervousness, irritability, insomnia and
headaches, among other symptoms.
The Best
Non-prescription, Natural Muscle Relaxation Formula
With
Serra-Trol and
Relax-All, MRM has
come up with a great one-two combination for not only supporting the health of
people with undue inflammation and pain but also for people experiencing the
kind of typical muscle soreness associated with athletic pursuits,
over-activity, stress, and some types of overuse syndromes. These are not
drugs.
When we began learning about
Relax-All,
we realized this formula is a BIG DEAL.
